My chickenheads are a playful nod to writing graffiti as a teenager. I no longer live in an urban environment, so instead of writing my name in paint and ink i needed something more reflective of myself as i stand today. Being a ceramics professor and living in a small town in the rural south, i could find no better statement for my identity than that of a 1970's era kitchen towel holder in the shape of a chicken head. I'm a boring guy who makes pottery that fits best in your moms kitchen. (don't take that too seriously)
